How this website handles your information
Privacy notice
This notice explains what information this website collects, why it collects it and who can see it.
Who is responsible
I’m Jay Janes, and I’m the data controller for the personal information this website collects. That means I decide how it is used and I’m responsible for looking after it.
If you use the contact form
The contact form asks for your name, your email address and a message. You can also give your company, your role, how many people work in your business and what your enquiry is about.
When you send the form, those details are saved in this website’s database so that I can read your message and reply. The site does not email me a copy. They can be seen by me and by people I give access to the website’s admin area.
The form also contains a hidden field that visitors don’t see. It helps to filter out automated spam.
If you email me
Your email and anything you include in it reaches my email account, where I read it and reply.
The free AI assessment
Your answers to the assessment stay in your browser. They are kept in your browser’s session storage so that you can carry on if the page reloads. They are removed when you finish the assessment or close the tab. The answers are not sent to this website or to me.
Cookies and tracking
The public pages of this website set no cookies of their own, and the site’s code contains no analytics or advertising trackers. People who sign in to the website’s admin area use cookies that keep them signed in.
Services this website uses
The website runs on Cloudflare, which delivers the pages, protects the site and stores the website’s database. The website serves its own font files, so loading its fonts does not require a connection to Google Fonts.
Your rights
UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information. They include asking for a copy, asking for corrections and asking for it to be deleted. To use them, contact me through the contact page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
If the way this website handles information changes, I’ll update this notice.
